I have been married 42 years to my husband, Don, a retired Air Force officer.   We have twin daughters, both physicians married to physicians, and two grandchildren.  Military assignments took us to cities across the US  from Boston to Monterey, CA, and overseas to the outback of Australia, Stuttgart, Germany, and the American Embassies in London and Bonn.

While posted overseas, we traveled throughout Australia, New Zealand, the Mediterranean and Europe.  In the early 1980’s, we saw the grim effects of communism firsthand during trips to Russia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and the former German Democratic Republic.   Our family’s most memorable trip occurred November 1989,  just days after the fall of the wall, when we drove to East Berlin, through Checkpoint Charlie, and returned home with a carload of The Wall and great memories.

Following my husband’s military retirement, we settled in Albuquerque.  I have recently retired as a Government contractor and look forward to visiting our grandchildren often after my husband retires from his second career at Sandia National Labs.  Early October we will take a long-planned trip to Japan, China,  Hong Kong, and  Taiwan, and therefore I will miss the reunion and seeing Beloit.  Best to everyone for the 50^th!
