My interests include: painting (both walls & "masterpieces" in acrylic), playing piano & cello, traveling and gardening. I'm learning about tropical plants as we relocated from Madison to Florida last year. For 10 yrs. I managed a resale shop for a non-profit retirement village in Madison, enjoying the interaction with volunteers, residents and community members. After 49 yrs. together, Mike and I are enjoying our retired lifestyle. We plan more traveling and spending time with our three daughters and four grandchildren.

We have 4 grandchildren, of our travel destinations our favorite was Anguilla BWI, from 1991 to 2004 we traveled there at least once a year.My daughter Nicole Voigt, divorced a few years ago and has been working with a great small law firm, She was recently invited to be a partner in the firm and has been steadily building her own client base. She has two active boys, age 8 and 10. She lives in Stockton NJ. Son Chad Voigt and his wife Joanna have a boy and girl, both in their teens and brilliantly achieving and gaining scholastic recognition. Chad is a civil engineer for the state of Kansas and they live in Lawrence Kansas. In 2001 Rick and I purchased property in Fairhope AL, on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay. In 2004 began building a house on our property. We have a beautiful creek at the back of the property that flows along and then out to Mobile Bay. We enjoy going out in our 18' Edgewater and also have 2 kayaks. We love it down here, we're active in the community, and have made wonderful friends. I'm a founding board member and president of the Fly Creek Preservation Association, will spare you details. Rick & I were married in July 1985, will be celebrating 27 years in 2012. We, and our house, survived Ivan and Katrina and thank God for every year our area does not have a major hurricane. I've been going to Jazzercise for 6 years now and Rick works out at a gym 6 mornings a week. We have three cats and one of them can open every door in the house, including the front door, it's a cat challenge! |

Retired in 2006 from Acosta Sales & Marketing , corporate headquarters in Jacksonville Fl. Lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for 30 years shortly after graduation which included 10 years on the Ft. Worth police dept. Returned to the Beloit area about 15 years ago . Remarried 3 years ago to a wonderful woman who lived in Monroe Wi. We now live in Monroe completely " surrounded" by a combined family of 5 children, 15 grand children and 7 great grand children. A few of mine are still scattered across Texas. As with most 'mature' people we enjoy traveling and spoiling grand children. (and then send them right home) I play golf, but very seldom, with some of our classmates and enjoy the subtle selection process of nobody wanting me in their foursome. Which no doubt is justified by how seldom I play. Look forward to seeing everyone in Oct and playing golf. And don't forget what I mentioned above when it comes time to select teams. |

I taught at Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis.I married Mike Siegmund in 1966. We have a daughter Michele (husband Matt) Ellis. We have a grandson Michael. In 1997 we were tired of MN winters and decided to retire in sunshine. We purchased a country club home in a community for active adults in Henderson NV. The emphasis is on active. We have made many wonderful friends here. We play lots of bridge and enjoy our life in the sunshine. I have many fond memories of you in high school and hope I will be able to come to the reunion. NOTE: Regretfully Mary Ellen lost her battle with cancer on August 4, 2012. |
