We enjoyed the business and the people...... but it's our turn to do what we want to do now. We still own some rental property so that will keep us busy enough. From John: Unfortunately I’ll be unable to attend the 50^th Reunion in October. I’m really disappointed as I looked forward to it. Since I can’t attend, I'll share a little more than usual about my past 50 years.

I spent most of my adult life in Florida, where I was a trial attorney for more than 40 years. I really enjoyed my profession, and had many exciting and interesting trials. One of my trials became the subject of a book and a motion picture called “Switched at Birth.”

My wife, Pamela, and I have been married over 20 years. We live in Naples FL (winter) and Rancho Santa Fe CA (summer), and we enjoy boating, golfing, traveling, exercising, and entertaining. For the past 20 years, from time to time, usually in one month trips, we toured the US in a RV, and we managed to visit every state except Hawaii (for obvious reasons) in the RV. We owned a home in Whitefish Montana for 10 years, and during that time we hiked every trail in Glacier National Park and summited a few mountains.

I have two children, Sara and Ford, and both have become successful entrepreneurs. Sara founded and owns a company called “Spanx”, and Ford founded and owns a company called “Zingle”. After high school I completed a Machinist Apprenticeship in Waynesboro, PA, through Gardner Machine Co. in So. Beloit. Worked for that company 43 years. Met my wife Pat on my apprenticeship. We have 3 children, Tom, Amy and Tim. We have 8 grandchildren. Retired in May 2005.

From Signe:I have been married to Bill for 46 yrs. and we have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. My most favorite job was that of a travel agent, which opened my eyes to the uniqueneness of each location I visited. For awhile I arranged group tours for women whose husbands didn't like to venture forth.

Hobbies are golf and swimming, photography (submitting photos to "Big Stock Photo.com" for resale), and travel writing, now in possession of a 5 year pass as a professional travel writer. There are 200 articles in the travel section of "Epinions.com" by Signeann (my pen name) on the Internet.

Most recently, Bill & I took our 2 grandchildren to "Grandparents' University" at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where we watched their curiosity bloom and open to the wonders of "Wildlife Ecology".

My "Bucket List" still consists of travel to Vietnam & Cambodia, the Balcan countries, Guadamala & Equador, Brazil, Argentina, Australia & Anarctica; and October will find me in Norway on a Hurtegruten Ship looking for the "Northern Lights" ---- camera in hand, of course.

After school I worked at Beloit Corporation, SSI, and Colt Insustries; I was married in 1964 and divorced in 1973. I was single for 14 years and remarried in 1987. I have been married now 25 years, have two children. One son Brian, and one daughter Brenda, we have 6 Grand Children, I have been retired with health problems.
