I graduated from the University of Iowa.....met my husband of 46 years there. I taught elementary school for four years before we had children and then stayed home for about twenty years. When I went back to work I chose the Healthcare field....worked with TRICARE behavioral health providers and established a network of autism providers for children of the active duty soldiers. I'm now retired and spend time volunteering at our local hospital. We've lived for the past 32 years in California. We lived in the San Francisco Bay Area (Marin County) for 27 years and for the past five years have been in the Sacramento area. We have three children and seven grandchildren. Two of our children and four of our grandchildren live close to us, so we are able to see them often! Our third child and other three grandchildren live in central California so we don't see them quite as often, but are happy they are that close! As our children were growing up, their favorite vacations were going to Lake Tahoe.... to ski in the winter or spend time on the water in the summer. Now that they are grown and we are retired, we have time to travel more and are enjoying that. However, most weekends find us at one of our grandchildren's games - spending time with them is one of our biggest enjoyments! |

After High school I graduated from St. Mary's School of Radiologic Technology in Madison, Wi. I was Assistant Chief of Radiology there. Then I worked at Alexian Brother's Hospital when we briefly located around the Chicago area. From there we lived 6 years in the Milwaukee (only time without a job) and I got my first shot at fund raising for the Hales Corner's Woman's club. Through years I chaired Fnnd Raisers for Hospitals, Golf Events, Libraries and for Cancer Patients. We moved to New Richmond, Wi. in 1979. We hosted 3 exchange students from Norway, Belgium and Denmark. I got to visit two of them on a couple European trips with the highlight being my cooking class trip to Paris. Unfortunately, no great travels lately.I'm presently in my 30th year as Clinical Assistant to the Physician who founded St. Croix Orthopaedics in Stillwater, Mn. I recently divorced after 49 years together. We have 3 great kids! Becky is a CPA for Mayo clinic, Don recently rehired at Lawson Software in St. Paul and Joe is a Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Mpls. They all live within an hour so I've been fortunate to not miss much of our 6 Grandkids lives/events. Besides working full time, I try to embrace opportunities with Family and Friends and still love antiquing but unfortunately haven't golfed in 8+ years. So far I've been blessed with good health, a great Family and wonderful Friends. I can't believe we're so old and most days don't feel it (and others I do). LIFE IS GOOD! I'm anxious for the reunion and thank the committee ahead of time for all their work---and Mike Hutchinson--great job on this website! |

After graduation from Wisconsin State University - Platteville, I taught kindergarten in Manitowoc, WI for three years before going to graduate school in Duluth, MN. John Howell and I married in 1970 and owned a 2000 acre tree nursery in Decorah, Iowa. We had two children. We divorced in 1983 and I moved to Wayzata, MN where I was an elementary school counselor for 20 years in the Hopkins School District. John moved to Atlanta to start several businesses. Both married again and divorced. John and I remarried in 1996 and after both kids moved to Montana, we followed suit. We found our little piece of heaven overlooking seven mountain ranges outside of Bozeman, MT. John died suddenly of a massive heart attack in 2008. I'm still on the ranch with a plethora of animals, and working part-time. Four grandchildren keep me sane or insane depending. Our son is a fishing guide and horse farrier; our daughter an employee of PATAGONIA; both a nice drive away. I'm involved in church activities, horseback riding, gardening, and anything that keeps me from sitting too long. Am looking forward to October to reconnect. |

Grandmother to 5, great grandmother to 3. Where has the time gone? Life has held many joys and blessings. Traveled to many places in the states and abroad - to Israel and cruises.Spent my working years in healthcare as an L.P.N.. Retirement in 2007 was heartbreaking in caring for a wonderful man in my life and I'm still not over his eventual passing. However, I keep on "keeping on" for the "grands". God Bless You All! |

I moved to Florida in 2002 after many years of living in Michigan with my wife Jan. Unfortunately, shortly after we moved she passed away. After moving to Florida, I worked part time delivering payroll checks. It truly was the best job I ever had! Everyone was always so happy to see me! I now work part time in a golf shop...mostly just visiting with people who think they want to be golf pros. I also work on my golf game...alot. It's a work in progress. While playing in my regular "Sunday Scramble" several years ago, I met Barbara. We enjoyed golf, boating and just hanging around with each other. On my 61st birthday we were married in Las Vegas. In an effort to just get away and quietly get married we found ourselves surrounded by friends and family. We told Barb's mother that we were going to Vegas to get married and she said "I've never been to Vegas". So, we brought her along. While we were there we met up with Charlie Landis and his wife. Charlie and Barb's mom stood up for us, which made our day even more special. Still thinking we were quietly away in Vegas, I ran into John & Karen Denoto in the same hotel! As I mentioned, our "quiet" trip to get married turned into a great time with family and friends! |
