My husband and I have been happily married for 42 years. We have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. We have a successful appraisal firm that has been going strong for 37 years We spent about a month in Europe but that is basically the only traveling we have done with the exception of multiple trips to Ft Myers Fla to visit my parents. We live, I guess you would say semi-retired, in our home on the lake. Every weekend is busy and lots of fun and good food. It will be fun to see you in October! |

I married my high school sweetheart Ty in 1965. We have two children, Scott & Michelle and six grandchildren, Ricky, Jeannie, Colton, Ty, Payton and Cash. At the end of 2002 I had a stroke forcing me to retire from a career in Music Therapy. I had previously taught Music Education classes in New Glarus and Verona Elementary Schools. Upon moving to St. Louis in 1983 I picked up a certification in Music Therapy and worked in the Delmar Garden Nursing & Retirement Facilities. I co-authored a book "Musical Bridges" along with my mentor, Joan Shaw from Maryville University in St. Louis. We retired to Baraboo in 2010 where we built an aging-in-place Log Home near the North Entrance to Devil's Lake State Park where we met in 1958. We now enjoy being with our grandchildren watching them participate in music and sports activity throughout the year.

Married to Dan for over 50 years and we even worked together before retiring!!We moved North to be near our 3 children and 10 grandchildren where we fill in with taxi service, babysitting and attend sporting events. The Northern cold has taken us to the Sunshine State for the winters where we still enjoy seeing family and friends. IT IS STILL TRUE THAT THE BEST ARE THRU IN 62! |

Life is such a sweet journey, full of possibilities. After graduating from Ohio State, I moved to Detroit and worked for Car & Driver magazine and subsequently did PR and fund raising for the Michigan Cancer Foundation. I developed a passion for skiing and decided I wanted to share that with others as a ski instructor. At one point, I even put together a ‘hot dog’ skiing team. I moved to Aspen to pursue my passion but chose the year of the “major” drought (Ajax never opened) and there were too many rich “druggies” there, so I moved on to San Francisco. Have worked for the Fairmont Hotel for 34 years and have found my home at last. As a shop steward, I negotiated contracts with the hotel for 14 years. One of my passions is recycling, environmental awareness and sustainability, so I lead the Green Team at the hotel. In this capacity, I organize community events for our colleagues and friends to help Muir Woods and The Presidio and we provide 200 volunteers for the California Coastal Clean-up. I have been at the Fairmont for so long, I am a docent and give tours of the hotel. I have enjoyed the journey that has brought me to where I am today and my goal is to live in the moment and be open to new experiences and information. I am looking forward to 12/21/12 when I will stand in the ancient city of Chichen Itza which I have been interested in seeing since I did a 4th grade science project about these magnificent Mayans and their interesting calendar.”

Married Carol Rule August 1970, after serving four years in Air Force Security Service. While stationed in Japan, was involved in the Pueblo Crisis. Received three letters of commendation for my part in the operation. Later, I was stationed in Turkey and Pakistan.Carol and I were blessed with three girls, Michelle, Melannie, and Mary (even the dog was a girl). They are all married and have given us seven wonderful grandchildren to spoil; ages 15 through 3. Retired in 2005 after 38 years as Regional Sales Manager for a machine tool company. Worked for two other companies for four years until my wife retired. As the girls graduated from college, Michelle from University of Kentucky, Melanie and Mary from University of Louisville, Carol and I decided to complete our education and graduated from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Our goal was to be as smart as our children. Carol and I have traveled extensively throughout the World during our recent retirement years. Visited places on the Mediterranean, Panama Canal, Hawaii (we were there during tsunami on March 10, 2011), but our most exciting trip was to Alaska where Carol put her foot in the Arctic Ocean, it was cold. We stayed with oil men at the top of the oil pipeline. |
