Mike and I have been married for 30 years. We retired in Northern WI, and in the winter we go to AZ to visit and enjoy the warmth. We both had children, so we share 11 wonderful children, and many, lost count grandchildren and great grand children.
I didn't think of age until one day my Great Grand Son Nik asked me to come see him play football, as he is on the Beloit Memorial High School Team. OUCH ... Where did the years go.

I enjoy volunteering at many places such as Beloit Hospital, Meals On Wheels and Caritas. I work at a polling place, this year will be a busy one. Sewing is one of my hobbies. In the warmer months filling any extra space with flowers and their care keeps me busy. I have 7 grandchildren from ages 11- 21. My husband went to be with the Lord February 6th., so a new adjustment to deal with.

Hey Purple People! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again and hearing your stories. My story is one of 2 careers. After law school I have been a VISTA volunteer, a Legal Aid attorney, an assistant city attorney, a juvenile court referee, and my own boss in a 6 attorney private practice firm. While being a lawyer, I began teaching law classes at Eastern Michigan U and found that I liked it. I went back to school to earn a Masters in education and a teaching certificate. Since then I have taught, primarily law and nonwestern cultures to high school students. My story also includes a lovely, loving partner who died 14 years ago after24 years of marriage. We have 2 girls who have launched into interesting careers--Lia, a tropical epidemiologist, and Britt, an advertising placement executive. I have a grandaughter and will have a grandson by the time of our reunion. I have traveled a bit to distant lands but now satisfy myself with volunteering (ESL tutoring, Meals On Wheels, and a no-insurance medical clinic). I suffer from a reading addiction with mysterious complications and occasionally chase the little white ball around the fields. I am in Beloit from time to time as we move my mother to a care facility. I'll see you in October. |
