September 21, 1944 Retired from Janesville Gazette Widowed 2
Still living in Janesville and retired from the Janesville Gazette  A couple years ago I talked aout retiring and traveling however, Loren  ended up with Parkinsons making travel very difficult so I took it upon mysef to buy AND DRIVE a 37' motor home so he'd have all the comforts of home wherever we went.  He passed away 2 years ago in 2014 just 6 weeks shy of our 50th anniversary so now its just me and my little dog, Huggy Bear.
We have  two sons, Paul who lives with his wife and our grandson in Florida and Mark and his family live her in Janesville.
I keep busy as co-owner of J Scott Video Productions, teaming up with a brilliant filmmaker specializing in filming metal bands and creating videos for them. Imagine that, this country girl filming metal!!! No Buddy Holly, Everly Brothers, or Annette Funicello!
Retirement and camping keeps me busy as does my hobby of creating vintage-style memory photo albums.
My health is good and I've enjoyed a great life. Wouldn't change a thing!

April 11, 1944 Pastor Married 2
My husband and I have been  married for 47 years. We lived in Racine, WI for two years before moving to Michigan where we have spent the last 45 years. We have one boy and one girl and 6 grandchildren.  Sometimes we think we should have had the grandchildren first!

We spent six summers traveling on the road as a family holding Children's Crusades for churches of all denominations.

As our children both were in Bible college I too  received my credentials in 1991 and was ordained as a pastor in 1993. As a result, I began a ministry called: Hart to Heart Ministries. It is a training center for Believers to learn the how to's of their walk with the Lord. I also have a church,  Sanctuary of Praise where I preach each Sunnday, hold Bible studies, counsel and also travel as a conference speaker.

Last year I became an author  and am currently publishing my second book.  Quite an adventure to say the least.

My husband is still traveling with his job here and abroad so we both keep plenty busy, besides spending time with our family.

I will not be able to come to the reunion, but I have enjoyed reading about all the classmates. May God bless you!

January 13, 1944 Dentist/retired Married 4
Greetings to all!
Trying to put 50 years in a few paragraphs is like trying to put a moon beam in a jar -- but I'll attempt it.
After graduation I went off to UW in Madison where I met Josie my senior year and graduated with a B.S. in Economics.
Not having much direction I enlisted in the Army Officer Candidate School program, commissioned as lieutenant in June 1967 and assigned to a hawk missile battery in Germany where we spent 3 years.  Like the elf in 'Rufolph the Red Nosed Reindeer', I guess the only thing I ever really wanted to do was be a dentist -- so it was off to Marquette University Dental School for four years and a DDS degree in June 1974.  With both of us enjoying a smaller community we settled in Fort Atkinson Wi where we would live and I would start a dental practice.  It has grown to 4 dentists and a staff of 25.  I love what I do -- so I still see patients about 20 hours a week.
We have 4 sons, the first born in Germany, and the next two weeks before I started dental school, the third while I was in dental school and the youngest shortly after we moved to Fort Atkinson.  They are now all married so our family has grown by 4 daughter-in-laws and 11 grandchildren.
Being Jacks of all trades and Master of none -- we have spent our free and recreational time trying many different things like bicycling in France, dog sledding in northern Minnesota, sailing in the British Virgin Islands and skiing in several different places.  Now we are attempting the game of golf.  Josie was fortunate to do a mission trip in Brazil and I traveled on a similar trip to Costa Rica where I served as a dentist.  Together we traveled with a group of dentists in a People to People program to China and Tibet.  I did train seriously for one event -- a fund raiser for Aids Research where I rode my bike from Minneapolis to Chicago (540 miles) and raised over $6,000.
Josie and I have both been very active in our church and the community and now after 38 years we have sold our home and moved to a small condo in Fitchburg Wi just in time to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary.  While we will miss all of our involvement in Fort Atkinson we look forward to a new season and new adventures within the Madison area -- and of course -- look forward to seeing all of you in October.

September 22, 1944 Retired Married 2
Yes, I am still working at the School District of Beloit, proudly celebrating 36 years.  The district has been good to me; I guess that is why I am still there, but hopefully not for much longer....perhaps another couple of years.
Al and I have been married for 47 years and have  2 daughters and 3 grandchildren.  We try to spend as much time as possible with family and enjoying the activities of the grandchildren. Emma, age 14, Ben, age 11, and Lillie, age 18 months are a joy to our lives.
We have been fortunate to have wonderful family and friends with whom to share our lives.  We enjoy fishing, golfing, and doing a bit of traveling when opportunity permits.  Just spent two weeks in Florida visiting our brothers and wives...had a wonderful, relaxing time.
I look forward to seeing many of my classmates at the 50th reunion.  We plan on making the weekend very memorable.  Keep in touch through the website if you are not able to attend the reunion.
Remember....the best are through in '62.

3-12-17  Just a quick update.  I have since retired as of August 5, 2016, from the School Districct of Beloit.  I had a wonderful "ride" of 40 years and don't regret any part of those 40 years.  Al and I  are now enjoying lots of time together and yet being able to do what each of us wants when we want....our granddaughter, Emma, is a freshman at the University of Wsconsin-Madison, and loving every minute  of it plus maintining dean's list status....Ben, only grandson, is a junior at Germantown High School and looking forward to his future career at college level.  Lillie,  youngest granddaughter, in first grade  at Minnehaha Academy in St. Paul....doing well in school with lots of time yet to go before she graduates.  They provide us lots of enjoyment
Looking forward to seeing each of you at our 55th reunion planned for Septembeer 30, 2017.  Spread the word of the reunion to any classmates who have not received their post card.  We still have many returned cards, so need those updates of address changes.  Let the reunion committee know of those changes.
