June 26, 1944 Cruise & Tour Consultant Married 2

I lived in Spain for 20 years and returned to the states in 1993.  In 2001 I met my husband John who is a retired Secret Service Agent .  I am a Senior Cruise and Tour Consultant for Expediacruiseshipcenters in Clearwater Fl.  I don't plan to retire - we enjoy the perks and lots of travel not to mention the satisfaction of helping people plan their special vacations. .  I just returned from visiting my oldest son who lives in Madrid.  This October, we will be cruising in Europe,  and then take a Transatlantic Cruise  back to Fort Lauderdale..  So it is not too likely that I can come to the reunion this year.  I hope everyone has a wonderful time and a chance to renew old friendships.

February 14, 1944 Retired/Sort Of Married

I left Beloit in 1964 and enjoyed a 34.5 year career in the airline industry.  Yes, I met my husband, Bruce, on a flight. He was a pilot and I was the "stew" aka flight attendant.  We   met in 1970 and married in 1974 and it has been total bliss ever since! :-)  He retired in 1995 and we moved from Southern CA to Northern CA and settled in Sonora. (Sonora is located in the foothills about 70 miles north of Yosemite.) We bought a 150 acre ranch, built our home and an attached apartment for my Mom.  (She was with us here for 13 years.)   I didn't retired from the airlines until  1998 as  I was still enjoying the International flying!

After retiring we spent a lot of time traveling in our motor home  as we  could take the cat & dog and not have to sleep in a hotel, eat out or go to the airport! :-)

Then in 2006 a hobby of mine turned into a booming business that was totally unexpected.  I have a shop on our property  and am open 4 days a week.  My company is called "Jazz It Up Iron On Sparklers" and you can visit my website at www.jazzitupsparklers.com  I embelish all kinds of apparel and have a ball  helping ladies  add  sparkle to their  lives. Bling is big...for how long, I haven't a clue.

We have always been active in the aviation community and have volunteered for years at our local airport fly-ins.  We also have hosted a motor home rally in our pasture  for the last 20 years and have  20-40 RV's here for over a week.

No kids or grandkids to enjoy but we 're having a ball in spite of it!  Life is good!

I hope to see many of  you  in October.

Retired Married 3

I spent 37 years working as an IT professional with the final 31 years at Warner-Lambert/Pfizer. During my career with W-L we relocated 5 times in 11 years living in CT, PA, WI, NJ and IL .

In 2006 Donna and I returned home to Beloit where we have re-connected with long-time friends and made several new friends. We have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren - 3 boys & 2 girls. We spend as much time as we can with our children and grandchildren.  In addition to our family time, I spend as much time as possible golfing with the guys. I'm still working hard trying to improve my golf game - what a challenge!

I hope to see many of you at our 55th Reunion Celebration in September, 2017. For those of you who are unable to attend please keep in touch!

Retired Married 3

Hi Everyone,

My husband Dean (nickname Sandy for Sandeman) and I have had a happy 46 years of marriage.  We met in UW Band and graduated from UW-Madison - he in music ed and I in nursing.

Our first home was in Reedsburg, WI where I worked at a small hospital and Dean was the middle school band director.  We moved to Oshkosh in 1968.  We had three beautiful children and I was a stay at home Mom for ten years until they were all in school.  Returning to nursing after ten years was difficult, but a 6 week refresher course at UWO helped immensely.  I worked at Mercy Medical Center for 20 years, 10 years in orthopedics and 10 years in home health and hospice.  Dean was a traveling elementary music teacher in three to four schools each year.

We love camping and now spend our summers in a trailer at Bear Lake Campground, just south of Manawa, WI.  In the winter I sing tenor in a 85 member community chorus.  We also love to travel and have been to England,  Scotland, Paris, Alaska, Arizona, Boston, the Smoky Mountains, Mardi Gras, Washington state and DC, New York City, the Black Hils and the Outer Banks.  At home, I especially enjoy weekly breakfasts with my nursing friends, annual lunches with my Beloit friends and of course, our most special times with our family and five extraordinary and beautiful greandchildren.

We're looking foreward to seeing all of you at the 50th Reunion.  Congrats and our gratitude to the committee for a fantastic job!

Jean Johnson Sandeman
